Laura Fishman is a Soprano and Speech Language Pathologist with special interest in Voice Disorders. Opera credits include Alcina in the Canadian premiere of Francesca Caccini’s La Liberazione di Ruggiero with Opera McGill, Jennie Hildebrand in Street Scene, Dalinda in Ariodante, covering the roles of Emmie, Cis and Harry in Albert Herring, as well as ensemble roles in Candide and Lucia di Lammermoor. In both her graduate and undergraduate studies, Laura has received scholarships for academic and vocal achievement, notably a two-time recipient of the prestigious Phylis and Bernard Shapiro Scholarship. With a particular affinity and passion for song, Laura was a selected participant for the Franz-Schubert Insitute in Baden bei Wien, Austria and the Toronto Summer Music Festival.
